Abu Dhabi 2024

I am lost. Like most viewers, I suppose. The past few races I have been watching in amazement without quite understanding what is going on. How can it be that in a multi billion dollar business like F1:

The season is clearly too long. Everyone is getting tired of each other, especially after triple headers. Hence there was more disturbing noise off-track than action on the circuits.

Qatar was, like Monaco, an utterly sleep-inducing race. Commentators are also bogged down. Their fantasy books are empty, the Brits are compensating the lack of action by shouting even more after every DRS pass - which has nothing to do with overtaking.

Sainz has done his best in recent months to show that John Elkann made the wrong decision, but Leclerc certainly needed his Abu Dhabi success to take any doubts away.

Verstappen is starting to lose his patience and at times his common sense. The Piastri dive was unwise.

Russell was probably told to let Hamilton pass in turn 9 of the last lap; I can't believe this was a fight for 4th place.

Quite a few men we have seen for the last time in F1. The Perez saga will now come to an end, we may hope.

Lawson clearly has better nerves than Colapinto.

Prediction for 2025? Zak Brown to choose Piastri.
